Dr. Seang Lin Tan is the James Edmund Dodds Professor and Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at McGill University. He is an internationally renowned expert in the field of infertility, and he is a pioneer in the simplification of IVF procedures. Dr. Tan is the founder of the McGill Reproductive Center, and he led the team that produced the first air transport IVF and ICSI pregnancies in the world. His team has also pioneered the use of IVM of human oocytes in Canada, as a major advance in the treatment of patients suffering from infertility.
Dr. Tan's major interests include: in vitro fertilisation & in vitro maturation of oocytes; pre-implantation genetic diagnosis; cryopreservation of fertility in young women undergoing chemotherapy/radiotherapy and the use of color Doppler and 3D ultrasound in obstetrics/gynecology.
Dr. Seang Lin Tan est directeur du Département d'obstétrique et gynécologie ainsi que professeur « James Edmund Doods » à l'Université McGill. Il est un expert de renommée internationale dans le domaine de l'infertilité et il est aussi un pionnier de la simplification des procédures de fécondation in vitro. Dr Tan est le fondateur du Centre de la reproduction de l'Université McGill et il a dirigé l'équipe qui a effectué le premier transport aérien pour la fécondation in vitro et les grossesses par microinjection.
