Dr. Mark Walker is a perinatologist with training in clinical epidemiology. As part of this fellowship, the trainee will be given the opportunity to take courses at the University of Ottawa in basic epidemiology and biostatistics to augment their research methodology. They will also be members of the Clinical Epidemiology Unit and will participate in the weekly rounds that occur there. Drs. Dr Walker will meet with the fellows weekly to review their goals and progress.
Our research group, (OMNI Obstetrics and Maternal Newborn Investigations), is composed of a number of research nurses, project co-coordinators, analysts and administrative assistants. Our research and training expertise is in large scale databases, clinical studies and population health. The research foci of our group are environmental influences on fetal and neonatal health, drugs in pregnancy, and global health. For more information please see our web site at www.omniresearch.net.
